Lady GaGa made her first official appearance promoting her second Born This Way single, ‘Judas’ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. GaGa was there vocally and made sure she kept up with her back-up dancers, who wore black robes referencing the religious connotation of the single.

She seemed a bit worn off while performing. Even though her dancing was lethargic at times, she was able to pull it off decently while wearing those high kicks she’s usually stuck on. Her vocals were strong, and shockingly matching the backing track, especially in the mini pre-chant segment before the chorus. Not that Lady GaGa’s talent has ever been put to question, but considering all the production making up the track, one would think only studio trickery could manage to deliver it; guess she proved wrong.

The Catholic community is already expecting nothing but the worse from GaGa and her soon to be premiered music video, but she assures it doesn’t challenge any religious views and won’t cause an outrage, instead, she labeled it as a ‘celebration’; question is, of what? of being betrayed? It is a little fuzzy to take it as a celebration just by the mere fact she plays Mary Magdalene in the visuals.

When addressing the video directly, she stated,

‘The video, in essence, suggests that forgiveness and betrayal are hand in hand and that… how do I say this? The video puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny.’

And furthered on the single, explaining its intended subject matter,

‘Judas’ is a metaphor and an analogy about forgiveness and betrayal and things that haunt you in your life and how I believe that it’s the darkness in your life that ultimately shines and illuminates the greater light that you have upon you.’

Interesting. One will just have to see if the video really does justice or comes nearly to what she’s promising. Judging by the choreography from the Ellen performance, it looks squeaky clean so far. The video will debut next week while Americal Idol airs.

In other news, GaGa has been posting more GaGavision clips where she is featuring instrumentals cuts from the upcoming record. The GaGavision #43 video post featured what sounded what possibly is ‘Marry The Night’; evident as she dialed the title on her phone throughout. It sounds like a melancholic dancefloor number, which equals to nothing less than amazing; one almost can visualize the mascara dripping from her eyes, rolling on her cheeks; the instrumental alone is that compelling.

Check out GaGavision #43 and #44 below. Whatever was playing during #44, it sounded like a spooky rockier orchestral beat. The production is sounding incredibly fantastic. Apparently she took note from Britney Spears’ teasing strategies, because GaGa is going HARD, giving minimal tastes to build up massive anticipation.
