Britney Spears is ready to blow off speakers and drive her fans crazy with her glorious return to the music scene after her comeback in 2008, backed with a #1 album, three hits and a widely successful high grossing world tour in 2009.

Spears is set to not only own 2011, but to storm the charts with the first single ‘Hold It Against Me’, produced by hitmaker duo, Max Martin and Dr. Luke, who were mostly responsible for tracks in Spears’ platinum selling Circus and #1 hit ode to a threesome, ‘3’.

*UPDATE* The single was originally scheduled to premiere January 3rd, and then the 7th, but now its wide release has been postponed and scheduled to debut sometime in January, according to Britney’s manager, Adam Leber.

Spears has been related to an extensive line up of producers for the upcoming record (which has been described as ‘trippy’), with William Orbit, Fraser T. Smith, Labrinth, Chase ‘n’ Status, Xenomania, Livvi Franc, Rusko and Jessie J,  to name a few. It is interesting to note, most of these producers are British; the whole album is being executive produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin.

What a best way to kick off the new year!

Spears’ seventh studio  album is slated to hit the shelves in March.
